We caught up with the fourth and final Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Cup Quarter Final between Strathearn and Banbridge Academy on a bitterly cold Thursday afternoon at Belmont.
All credit to both teams for producing a competitive game in steadily worsening conditions.
It was a fairy even first half though Banbridge appeared to have the edge in attacking possession from my vantage point. Alyssa Somerville featured often for the home site.

However, the best chance fell to Strathearn as a retreating backhand looped just over the net with the defence wrongfooted leaving the score at 0 – 0 as the teams changed ends.
