We caught up with the Senior 2 clash between Owls and Donaghadee at Roughfort on a damp Saturday afternoon.
Owls started brightly and had a sustained period of play in the Donaghadee third but they were unable to get any clean chances.
Dee seemed content to rely on the quick breakout and it paid dividends when striker Carolyn Scott scored to give them a 0 – 1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Dee got on the front foot a bit more often in the second quarter and the pressure reaped rewards as Scott completed her hat-trick with a goal at the start and the end of the quarter to see the visitors take a 3 – 0 lead into the second half.
