On a grey, murky Saturday morning, in Lisburn, current Schools Cup holders, Wallace High School faced Royal Belfast Academical Institution in a Schools Cup Quarter Final, a rerun of last year’s quarter final.

Determined to avenge last year’s defeat, Inst set up camp in Wallace’s 22. From a maul, Ross Dillon broke off to score in the right corner to give Inst a 5-0 lead with barely 2 minutes on the clock.
A 13th minutes Charlie O’Connor penalty goal kept the scoreboard ticking over at 8-0 to Inst.
Though Wallace had their moments. The rest of the half was Inst’s. They will wonder how they reached halftime leading only 8-0, having been held up twice over Wallace’s line.
Now playing with the slight slope, Inst pressed after the break.
