We caught up with the Medallion Plate match between Banbridge Academy and Ballymena Academy at Banbridge on Saturday morning.
Ballymena were quick out of the block with an early try from a pile over, with wing forward Lewis Greer1 believed to have got the touch down for a 0 – 5 lead.
The visitors crossed again seven minutes later with Harvey McCullough2 getting the try which was converted by Charlie Stewart3 for a 0 – 12 lead and that’s how it stayed until half time.
A resurgent Banbridge pulled it back to 12 – 12 at the start of the second . . .
