On a very sunny but cool Tuesday afternoon, Ballymoney High School faced Bangor Academy in the U16 High Schools Pollock Cup Final at The Dub. This was a rerun of last year’s final when Bangor prevailed.
Bangor settled quickly, playing into a deceptive breeze.

Ruairi Mason stole a lineout 35 metres out, beat would be tacklers and galloped into score in the right corner to put Bangor 5-0 up after 6 minutes.
Whether it was cup final nerves or the chilliness of the air but neither side was fully in control of the ball, resulting in dropped passes and a succession of scrums.
