On a very cold, but sunny Saturday afternoon, the Championship 1 league game between Cooke and Lurgan survived the conditions to be played at Shawsbridge.
Cooke took an early 6th minute lead, when Ryan Flavelle darted over midway out on the left. Andy McMurray’s conversion put Cooke 7-0 up.
Cooke continued to press but a wayward pass, in the Lurgan 22, was intercepted by Charlie Williamson, who raced away to score under the posts. Harry Evans conversion had Lurgan level at 7-7 after 11 minutes.
