It was grey, overcast and damp for the Preliminary Round Burney Cup tie between Methodist College and Belfast Royal Academy, played at Deramore Park on Wednesday afternoon. Thank goodness for the new floodlights!

If Methody held sway in the 1st quarter, then BRA held it in the 2nd quarter but neither side could break through well organised defences. Both sides only created one goal scoring opportunity apiece in a scoreless 1st half.
