We caught up with the Medallion Shield match between Banbridge Academy and Down High School a Banbridge on Saturday morning.
The chilly weather in Banbridge made for a fast flowing game with lots of handling errors and it was the visitors who put first points on the board when, No 13, Cameron McDowell crashed his way through in the opening 5 minutes to give the visitors a 0 – 5 lead.

Banbridge responded with their own driving game and midway through the half equalised when their own No 13, Rylee Edwards ran in at the corner for a fine try to take the score to 5 – 5
