We caught up with the McDowell Plate match between Sullivan Upper 2XI and Victoria College 2XI on Thursday afternoon at Sullivan.

It was an entertaining game featuring a few of the players I’d covered on Sunday at the Indoor Tournament.

The teams battled out a scoreless first half.

Both teams created chances in the first half but the defences were on top and we went into the second half with the game still looking it’s first goal.

A short sharp shower in the third quarter didn’t alter the game and we went into the final quarter with the score still at 0 – 0.
