On a very cold Saturday afternoon 9th placed, Queens University, faced 2nd placed, Instonians, in a South Belfast Derby AIL1B game at The Dub. Inst played with the biting wind in the 1st half.
It might have been the cold temperature, but the opening exchanges were strangely subdued for a derby game.

Eventually an Instonians lineout maul rumbled over for Neil Saulters to score to put Instonians 5-0 up on 16 minutes.
It took until 29 minutes for Inst to score again, when Ruairi O’Farrell sneaked over at the side of a ruck. Josh Eaglson’s conversion moved Instonians out to 12-0.
