Women’s All Ireland: Ulster University Elks 3 Queen’s University 0

We caught up with the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League match between Ulster University Elks and Queen’s University at Jordanstown Sports Village on Saturday afternoon.

It’s been deferring seasons, to date, for these teams in the EYHL. Queen’s were pushing for a top three spot before this game and Elks were battling to get out of the bottom two after a disappointing series of results.

Zoe Wilson on the attack for Queen’s.

The first quarter went as expected with Queen’s pushing forward with strong runs from Jenna McCarlie and Zoe Wilson but they were fairly subdued in the final third and the game was scoreless as we went into the second quarter.
