On Wednesday morning, at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club, Methodist College faced Rainey Endowed in the first Semi Final of the Under 14 Stevenson Cup.
Methody had the better of the opening exchange threatening the Rainey goal, but it was Rainey, who opening the scoring.
On 10 minutes, Florence Mitchell slotted in a rebound to give Rainey a 1-0 lead.
Only 2 minutes later Methody responded when Roxy Irvine struck home an equaliser for 1-1.
The rest of the game was scoreless. Methody edged territory and possession but couldn’t break a very stubborn Rainey . . .
