Stevenson Cup: Banbridge Academy 0 Royal School Armagh 2 Final

We caught up with the much anticipated Stevenson Cup Final between, defending champions, The Royal School Armagh and, the in form, Banbridge Academy at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Wednesday afternoon.

It was a close game between two well drilled sides, the main difference the clinical composure of, Armagh’s captain, Joni Cunningham who made telling contributions at both ends of the pitch.

Joni Cunningham is awarded the Player of the Game trophy.

It was Cunningham that opened the scoring ten minutes in with a well placed strike at a penalty corner which saw Armagh take a 1 – 0 led into Q2.

Armagh’s Daisy Nicholson and Banbridge’s Molly Tumilty enjoyed a few tussles down the sidelines.
