We caught up with the Women’s Senior 2 league game between Owls and Saintfield at Roughfort on saturday afternoon.
In the gloomy conditions at Roughfort, Owls produced some bright hockey, dominating the first quarter without scoring and keeping the visitors at bay in the second until, in a 5 minute spell, Saintfield’s Rebecca Pearson crashed two fine shots to take a 0 – 2 lead into the second half.
The third quarter was similar with Owls attacking without scoring and midway through Saintfield’s Sofie Harpur drove in from a tight angle, scoring her first senior goal for the club . . .
