Schools Cup: Friends School 13 Larne Grammar 12 Group D

We caught up with the Schools Cup Group D match between Friends School and Larne Grammar in Lisburn on Saturday morning.

This was another entertaining game between two well matched sides.

Paddy Arnold got an early try for Friends.

Friends took the early advantage when a 2nd minute penalty, from Ross Glover, was quickly followed by a try from Paddy Arnold to give the home tea man 8 – 0 lead after 6 minutes.

Larne pushed hard for a response but there was no further score before the break and the teams changed ends with Friends still leading 8 – 0.

Jonnie Kennedy crossed in the second half for Larne.
