On Saturday afternoon Instonians III were the visitors to Belmont to play CIYMS II in a Provincial Premier 2 fixture.

Opening encounters were very even, as defences dominated, though Instonians edged territory and possession.

Oli Douglas opened the scoring for Instonians

Eventually Instonians pressure told. On 24 minutes Oli Douglas forced himself over on the right. Marco Manso’s conversion put Instonians 7-0 up.

Marco Manso added a try and 5 conversions for Instonians

Again, defences dominated until on the stroke of halftime Marco Manso was put into space to score in the right corner. His conversion from a tight angle have Instonians a 14-0 halftime lead.
