We caught up with the Championship 2 clash between Larne and City of Derry on Saturday afternoon at the Glynn.

Larne got off to a flying start with Charlie Patterson racing half the length of the field for the opening try and a 5 – 0 lead.

Derry responded a few minutes later with a penalty from Alex McDonnell but Larne extended their lead just past the 20 minute mark when Ryan McAlister battled over at his second attempt. Aaron McBride added the extras to take the score to 12 – 3.

Once again Derry replied quickly as Gary McKinley crossed out . . .
