Women All Ireland: Pegasus 1 Queen’s University 2

On Saturday afternoon, The Dub was the venue for the derby clash of Belfast rivals, Pegasus and Queen’s University in Women’s All Ireland Hockey League.

Jenna McCarlie opened the scoring for Queens on 2 minutes

Queens had Pegasus on the back foot from push back and took the lead when Jenna McCarlie reacted fastest in front of goal to put Queen 1-0 up on 2 minutes.

Only 2 minutes later Jodie Simmons doubled their lead in similar circumstances. Queens led 2-0 on 4 minutes.

Queens continued to dominate a strangely subdued Pegasus for the remainder of the quarter.
