On Wednesday afternoon Regent House were the visitors to College Hill to play The Royal School Armagh in an Under 16 Shield Tie. On a warm, sunny autumn day a deceptively stiff breeze blew down the pitch, initially in Armagh’s favour.
In the opening exchanges both defences cancelled each other out with some fierce tacking going in from either side.

Eventually, after a ruck on the 22, James Flanigan darted up the blind side and when he was tackled close to the line, reached backwards, over his head to ground the ball for Armagh’s first try. Ben Best converted from the narrow angle to put Armagh 7-0 up.
The Armagh pack began to gain some dominance and from several ‘pick and goes’, close to the line. Joel Conn burrowed over for a 27th minute try. Ben Best’s conversion gave Armagh . . .
