My second game at Hamilton Park on Sunday was the U16 Girls East League Match between a combined Ards, Carrick and Donaghadee team against a combined Ballymena, Cooke and Instonians team.
It was a bright start from the Ballymena combined side who opened the scoring through Mia Morrow, after some nifty footwork from fullback Cora Hayes, for a 0 – 5 lead on the 4th minute.

Hayes once again danced through the Ards defence two minutes later to set up the hard-working scrum half Faith Wright for their second try and a 0 – 12 lead after Hayes added the conversion.
Ards shored up their defence, and after a sustained period of pressure in the Ballymena 22 . . .
