We caught up with the Stevenson Cup group match between The Royal School Armagh and Larne Grammar on Thursday afternoon at College Hill.
The match was brought forward from Saturday to avoid Storm Amy, and while it may have avoided the heavy winds, it didn’t avoid a few torrential downpours during this one.
It is a bit of a consolidation year for the young Larne side, who lost nine 1st XI players over the summer, and with their star player, Ulster U18 captain Anna McRoberts, injured after her interprovincial heroics, this was always going to be a difficult game against the top schoolgirls team in Ireland.

Royal School Armagh opened the scoring with an early snapshot from Evie Girvan, who took advantage of some slack defending.
