It was a quick shuttle from the Cathedral City to Party Town on Thursday afternoon to catch my second Stevenson Cup match as Portadown College welcomed Sullivan Upper to Edenvilla for a 3rd round group game.
Thankfully, the rain stayed off for this one, though it was getting noticeably cooler by the time the game ended.
I doubt if any of the players would have felt the nip in the air, as this game started and ended at a lively pace.
Portadown opened the scoring after 11 minutes as Emily Adamson set up her younger sister, Grace Adamson, for a tap-in at the far post. The big smile from Grace, a reminder of all the goals she scored for the Invincible Ulster U16’s over the summer.
