On Wednesday afternoon, the Stevenson Cup Quarter Final between Portadown College and Rainey Endowed was played at Edenvilla.
It was a nervy start. Neither team could assert themselves in scoreless first quarter with both midfields cancelling each other out.
Portadown began to edge the 2nd quarter with telling passes and cutting off Rainey’s supply of ball to their forwards.
In the 27th minute Emily Adamson was put through on a one on one with the keeper. She celebrated her 18thbirthday with style as she slotted the ball home to give Portadown a 1-0 halftime lead.
