On Wednesday afternoon, the two unbeaten sides in Group 4 of the Stevenson Cup, Banbridge Academy and Victoria College, faced off at Havelock Park.
From pushback Banbridge controlled midfield, starving Victoria forwards of ball. Despite creating several chances, they couldn’t put any away and the first quarter was scoreless.
In the second quarter Victoria had limited forays into the Banbridge half, as the Banbridge midfield continued to dominate. Again, they couldn’t find the net and halftime was reached scoreless.
Victoria began to string together passes and the game became more open in the third quarter.
