On Tuesday morning Grosvenor Grammar School were the visitors to Bangor Academy in a Schools Cup Qualifying Tie.
The commitment in the first few minutes of the game showed that this would be a full blooded Schools Cup tie.
Bangor took an 11th minute lead courtesy of a Sean Hynes penalty goal for a 3-0 lead.

Grosvenor responded when Adam Osborne drove over from close range for a 5-3 lead on 16 minutes.
Thereafter Grosvenor camped in the Bangor 22 but through a combination of poor handling, taking the wrong option and a very stubborn Bangor defence, couldn’t add to their score. Halftime was reached with Bangor leading 5-3.
