We stayed on at Banbridge Academy on Saturday morning for their Schools Cup Group C fixture with local rivals Portadown College.

Though Banbridge settled faster and had the edge in tight and loose play, it took until the 27th minute for them to take the lead, courtesy of a Daniel Byrne penalty goal.

Their 3-0 lead was short-lived. A maul formed from a 5 metre lineout, which was driven over the Banbridge line for Callum Doak to score on 32 minutes for 5-3.
