Women’s Premier: Larne 0 Armagh 1

We caught up with the newly promoted Larne HC, who welcomed Armagh HC to Larne Grammar, for their first home Women’s Premier League match.

Larne had picked up three points on the road last weekend at Omagh and Armagh, had lost 1 – 2 at home to Mossley, and were looking to make up some ground.

Larne look for an opening in the first half.

I arrived at this game just as the second quarter was about to start, and the score was 0 – 0. The visitors had the best of territory and possession in the second quarter, but both defences remained on top, and we went into the second half with the game still at 0 – 0.
