We caught up with the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League match between Ulster University Elks and Pegasus at Jordanstown Sports Village early Saturday afternoon.
The Elks were looking to bounce back after an opening-day defeat to Portadown, but their task was made more difficult after an early goal for Pegasus. The lively Erin Pim cut inside from the left, into plenty of traffic in the Elks D, but kept cool to fire home to give Pegasus a 0 – 1 lead.

I was a fast-paced first quarter with plenty of action, but there were no further goals, and the teams went into Q2 with the Elks still trailing by one.
