We caught up with the first period of the Medallion Squad Friendly between Larne Grammar and Dromore High early Saturday morning at Lower Cairncastle Road.
The game was played over three 20 minute periods with both schools keen to test out their full squads. We caught up with the first 20 minutes of the game.
Dromore enjoyed an early period of pressure in the Larne 22 but the Larne defence worked hard and the home team broke out for hooker Rory Meldrum to crash over for the opening score, Rory Kennedy converting for a 7 – 0 lead.
