Representative Rugby: Ulster 31 Edinburgh 19 Friendly

We caught up with the pre-season friendly between Ulster and Edinburgh at Ravenhill on Friday evening.

An expectant crowd anticipated a competitive friendly encounter with a number of new faces on both teams.

Cormac Izuchukwu, back, picks up Ulster’s first score.

Ulster were first to get points on the scoreboard with Cormac Izuchukwu crashing over following a line out, Nathan Doak adding the conversion for a 7 – 0 lead.

A five yard attacking saw Jude Postlethwaite finish up over the line after good work by David McCann to move the score along to 12 – 0.

Zac Ward picked up a try in a strong game.
