We caught up with the Championship 1 season’s opener at Neillsbrook Park, as Randalstown welcomed CIYMS in an absolute deluge of rain in the first half.
The conditions made ball handling tricky meaning many dropped passes resulting in many scrums.

An infringement at one of these scrums saw Randalstown’s No 15, Paul McCloskey putting the first points on the board with a penalty.

The teams did their best to cope with the conditions and late in the half, CIYMS were awarded a penalty for another . . .
