We caught up with the long awaited and eagerly anticipated Veterans Cup Final between Pegasus and Ballymoney at Ballymena Academy on Wednesday evening.
Pegasus started brightly and were ahead after three minutes when Hannah Craig deflected a cross from Shirley McCay for a 1 – 0 lead which they took into the second quarter.
The belfast doubled their lead as the start of Q2 when Alex Speers knocked in a cross at the far post to take the score to 2 – 0.
The defending champions, Ballymoney, got on the scoreboard towards the end off the half . . .
