On Friday, at lunchtime, Ireland U20 faced Scotland U20 at the Kingspan Stadium in a pre U20 World Championship warm up game.

Ireland started off on the front foot, though were unable to breech the Scottish defence. Scotland opened the scoring, when Jack Brown hacked on a loose ball and won the race to the touchdown. Matthew Unwin converted to put the Scots 7-0 up after 15 minutes.

Luke Murphy drove over from a 5 metre scrum to open Ireland’s scoring

Ireland drew level on 34 minutes when Luke Murphy drove over from a 5 metre scrum. With the conversion successful it was 7-7.

In the final play of the 1st half Johnny Ventisei squeezed in at the corner to give Scotland a 12-5 halftime lead.

Scotland increased their lead. Reuben Logan bulldozed his way over for Matthew Unwin to convert for Scotland to lead 19-7 on . . .
