Recently promoted to AIL2A, Dungannon met AIL1A Ballynahinch in the Ulster Senior Cup Final on Saturday at the Kingspan Stadium. A deceptively cold wind blew down the pitch in Dungannon’s favour, in the 1st half.
A Dungannon attack was broken up outside the Hinch 22 and the ball fed to the recently returned from the United States, Aaron Sexton. He showed the Dungannon defence a clean pair of heels, as he raced up the left wing to dot down behind the posts. Conor Rankin’s conversion had Hinch 7-0 up in less than 2 minutes.

Dungannon responded with a long range Ben McCaughey penalty goal after 6 minutes, to reduce the deficit to 3-7. It was to prove their solitary score.
Hinch increased their lead on 9 minutes, when Clayton Milligan scored from close range for 12-3.
