On a sunny, hot Saturday afternoon a large crowd had assembled at Dromore RFC for the final match of the Junior Interprovincial Series between Ulster and Munster. Ulster led the Championship Table after 2 rounds with the maximum 10 points, courtesy of 2 away wins in Leinster and Connacht.

Ulster started on the front foot and took the lead after only 3 minutes when Harry Long burrowed over mid-way out on the left. Eddie Keys added the extras and Ulster led 7-0.

Despite Ulster pressure Munster responded when Aaron Rice scored beside the posts. Shane Airey’s conversion tied the game at 7-7 . . .
