Junior 2 Cup: Mossley 2XI 1 Lisnagarvey 4XI 2 Final

We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Men’s Junior 2 Cup Final between Mossley 2XI and Lisnagarvey 4XI at Stormont Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The teams tested each other out at a fairly gentle pace in a scoreless first quarter played in bright sunlight.

Mossley got the scoreboard ticking over with a sucessful penalty stroke from Josh Keer for a 1 – 0 lead.

The lead didn’t last too long as Ian Hamilton pulled one back for Garvey before the half time break taking the score to 1 – 1 as the teams changed ends.

There was no score in the third quarter in the evenly contested game and the teams went into the final quarter with the game still tied.
