On Saturday lunchtime Pembroke Wanderers, from Dublin, were the visitors to Jordanstown Sports Village to face Ulster University Elks in an All Ireland Division 1 league fixture.
From early on Elks had the majority of territory and possession limiting Pembroke forays into the Elks half. Despite creating chance none found the net in a scoreless 1st quarter.
The 2nd quarter was much the same fare. Elks reached halftime frustrated by their lack of a breakthrough in front of goal in another scoreless quarter.
