A clever reverse pass by scrum half, Shane Kelly, created a gap for Matty Hadden to storm over, under the posts. Dan Curley’s conversion moved Carrick out to 10-3.

On the halftime whistle Paddy Carson’s penalty goal brought Ballymoney back to 6-10 at the break.

The second half was equally intense. Paddy Carson’s penalty goal made it a 1 point game, at 9-10.
