We caught up with the McClements Cup Final between Lisnagarvey 4XI and Instonians 3XI at Stormont on Saturday afternoon. It was the last game of the day on the water based pitch.
Lisnagarvey looked to take the initiative early on, peppering the Instonians keeper with a few early chances but Instonians worked their way into the game, as the first quarter progressed, and probably had the best chance just before the first break only for the shot to be ruled too high I believe.
The second quarter was fairly even as the teams continued to test each other out and we went into the half time break with the score still at 0 – 0.
