We caught up with the Junior 1 League Cup Final between Lisnagarvey 2XI and Banbridge 2XI at Stormont on Saturday afternoon.
After their almost perfect league season the prematch chat had Lisnagarvey as firm favourites for this one, but Banbridge made them work hard in the first quarter which ended scoreless.

There was still very tight in the second quarter until the heavens opened with a torrential downpour of rain and hail. Banbridge adapted quickly and took a 0 – 1 lead thanks to a Stevie Dowie goal. I ran for shelter at that stage but the first half ended with Banbridge still leadng 0 – 1.
