Bottom placed club, Buccaneers, were the visitors to Shawsbridge on a sunny Saturday afternoon, to face Instonians, already crowned AIL2A champions. A cold breeze blew down the pitch, initially in Buccaneers favour.

Instonians opened the scoring after only 2 minutes when David Whitten score. Josh Eagleson’s conversion made it 7-0. They doubled their score on 4 minutes through a James Clark try and Josh Eagleson conversion to go 14-0 up.
Buccaneers hit back when Orrin Burgess skipped through some would be tackles to dot down. Georoid McDonald’s conversion had Buccs back to 7-14 in 14 minutes.
