On Sunday afternoon, in game three of a triple header, at the Kingspan Stadium, a combined Banbridge/Larne/Malone side played Enniskillen in the Girls Under 18 Cup Final.
From first encounters this looked to be the tightest game of the three. Both sides had powerful packs and weren’t frightened to unleash their backs.

After initial Enniskillen attacks BLM countered with a forward surge through the midfield. From a ruck 5 metres out Cara McClean, who was to prove a handful all game, drove over. Méabh Hull converted to put BLM 7-0 up in 12 minutes.
Enniskillen responded when Sophie Moore went over for Eve Balfour to convert to tie the game at 7-7, after 21 minutes.
The ball was turned over in the BLM 22 and fed to Cara McClean, whose rampaging run up the right wing left defenders floundering . . .
