On Wednesday afternoon Campbell College faced Methodist College in an Belfast derby in the Schools Subsidiary Shield Final at Kingspan Stadium.

A charge down was seized by Campbell and a combination of forwards and backs created space for Rus Lovo to crash over. Henry Ralston’s conversion had Campbell 7-0 up in less than 90 seconds.
Methody had their chances but were let down by poor handing at crucial stages.
After a lineout, a Campbell break was stopped close to the line. James Wells crossed under the posts for Henry Ralston to convert for a 14-0 lead after 21 minutes.
On 31 minutes a Methody lineout maul surged forward for Conor Doherty to power over to reduce the deficit to 5-14.
It was 14-5 to Campbell at halftime.
