Senior Plate: Larne Grammar 2 Royal School Dungannon 1 Semi Final

We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Plate Semi Final between Larne Grammar and Royal School Dungannon at The Dub on Thursday afternoon.

The match featured three Ireland U18 players in Anna McRoberts and Isla Allen for Larne and Evie Girvan for Dungannon, Girvan the current leading scorer in the Ulster Women’s Premiership.

Evie Girvan was a handful for the Larne defence throughout the game.

The teams battled out a tight first quarter and Dungannon took the lead right at the end when Erin Mathieson scored at a penalty corner to take a 0 – 1 lead.
