Early Saturday morning, Methodist College Under 13s played Friends School Under 13s in a Year 9 friendly at Deramore Park. The game was played over 2 x 25 minute halves.
If ever a game ebbed and flowed, as dominance altered, it was this one.
Friends settled fastest pressing Methody back, their midfield controlling play.
However it was Methody, who got on the scoreboard first. From a breakout the ball fell to Daniel Jinson, who drilled the ball home to put Methody 1-0 up in 8 minutes.
