McDowell Plate: Methodist College 1 Royal School Dungannon 1 Final

We caught up with the Ulster Schoolgirls McDowell Plate final between Methodist College and Royal School Dungannon at Stormont Pavilion on Wednesday afternoon.

This game was quite the tussle between two determined teams. Methody had the advantage in terms of territory and possession but the Dungannon defence worked hard to keep them out of the danger areas with Abi Neill prominent with quite a few challenges.

Abi Neill had a strong game for Dungannon.

Methody got their breakthrough when Lucy Armstrong slammed in the opening goal from out wide to give Methody a 1 – 0 lead at the break.

Lucy Armstrong gets a hug after scoring the games only goal.
