We caught up with the McDowell Cup final between the Royal School Armagh 2XI and Rainey Endowed 2XI at Stormont on Tuesday afternoon.
As expected this was a close game between two talented teams who battled out a tight first quarter, though Rainey looked to have the early advantage in terms of territory and possession.
Armagh’s Kate Livingstone saw plenty of ball in the second quarter as Armagh upped the tempo and with Cadence Gillespie and Hannah Redmond pushing forward they created a few chances. However, the defences stood firm and the teams turned round with the score at 0 – 0.
