We caught up with the Gibson Cup Final between Methodist College and Rainey Endowed at Stormont Pavilion on Monday afternoon.
In an extremely competitive match, both teams tested their opposition defences without seriously troubling the ‘keepers. Midfield almost cancelled each other out without breaking into the circles so it came as no surprise that halftime arrived scoreless.

The pace stepped up a bit more in the second half of the game and it was Rainey who had the first serious shot, just flashing narrowly wide with the keeper beaten.
