It was cool and overcast at Wallace High School, in Lisburn, on Saturday morning for the Burney Plate semi final clash between Grosvenor Grammar School and Methodist College.
To say it was a tentative start was an understatement. Both teams took the entire 1st quarter sounding each other out with the ball rarely passing midfield to the forwards. It was no surprise that it was scoreless.

The 2nd quarter was more adventurous. Grosvenor took the lead on 18 minutes when Finn Cross fired home a powerful shot to give Grosvenor a 1-0 lead.
Methody tried to respond but a hard working Grosvenor midfield and defence kept the Methody forwards at bay.
