On Sunday Banbridge were the visitors to Gibson Park to face Malone in a Women’s Premiership Phase 2 clash. It was grey, overcast and dreich with on/off drizzle for the match. A light breeze blew in Banbridge’s favour in the 1st half.
Banbridge pinned Malone back in the opening exchanges. Malone found it difficult to get any continuity nor distance in their clearing kicks.

Banbridge opened the scoring on 9 minutes, when after a series of drives, Tori Moffett crashed over beside the posts. Jemma Farrell’s conversion up Banbridge 7-0 up.
Banbridge continued to dominate. Jemma Farrell’s try, under the posts and conversion had Banbridge 14-0 up in 16 minutes.
Malone had their moments. Lauren Maginnes had some fine carries, but Banbridge continued to press.
